Partners for Families Attends Esperanza Capacity Institute to "Strengthen Hispanic Communities"

Partners for Families recently attended an intensive, two-day capacity training program led by experienced Latino leaders and experts. Topics included Non-profit Financial Management, Grant Writing Basics, Keys to Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Program Outcome Design, Organizational Assessment Tools, Legal Aspects of Non-Profit Organizations and much more. Esperanza Capacity Institute is designed to learn the necessary skills to strengthen organizations and their ability to serve the Latino community. Participants saw first hand what Esperanza has accomplished in over twenty years of community development. Through Esperanza's model, experts taught participants how to increase their organizational capacity to serve their constituents better. Currently, Esperanza's 6-acre Philadelphia operations include the Esperanza Academy Charter High School, Esperanza College of Eastern University, the Esperanza EARN Center (Employment Advancement and Retention Network), the Betances Job Training and Employment Program, and Community Development programs-mortgage counseling, as well as commercial and residential development. It was a very informative training experience!
