Click here to see our Thanksgiving Video of the Event! On Thanksgiving Day at Partners for Families it was an afternoon with plenty of food such as turkey, ham, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans and desserts. We had a incredible show of volunteers from local churches and the community. Our dinner guest enjoyed an afternoon with inspiring music and testimonies, free groceries and new coats for their children. Following the event, all surplus food was delivered to our local full-day homeless shelter at the Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center (C.H.O.C.) where it will be refrigerated and served for the next few days. C.H.O.C. Director Genny Odonnell and clients were so thankful for this Thanksgiving expression!
We are so thankful for this absolute community-wide expression of support that help make this day possible. A special thanks the Montgomery County Central Technical High School Students and staff for preparing all the food in their state-of-the-art Culinary Arts facility. Especially for the leadership of Chef Everett. Also, a special thanks to Montgomery County Human Services Director, Joe Roynan for his support along with the Human Services Cafeteria staff for refrigerating the food overnight and for the use of their staff support to re-heat the food utilizing their food warmers and additional serving equipment. This entire event was provided strictly through donations of the community including Giant Foods, Shop-rite, Genuardis, Super Fresh, Wal-Mart, Chick-fil'a Audubon/East Norriton, Hatfield, Pepsi, Penn Christian Academy, East Norriton Middle School, Eisenhower Middleschool, Rennaisance Academy, Bove Family Chiropractic, Holy Savior Church, Visitation Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, The Storehouse Church, Heart of Truth Ministries, and others. Most of all we'd like to thank the PFF Volunteer Planning Team and to the over 200+ volunteers who showed up at the event to help make this possible!
Also, we'd like to thank our newest PFF partners The Storehouse Church of Plymouth Meeting, who provided more than 80+ volunteers to assist us in our efforts!
